I need a diary. This works

Feeling very frustrated lately. As much as I enjoy being at home, I hate not having my own money. I try to get by with my Stella & Dot biz but, it's def not like when I was working obviously. I should get paid for all the crap I do and have to deal with on a daily basis! Ok, ok, I love being a SAHM but I just want to splurge on myself sometimes! Sheesh!  

Baby's First Birthday

All of the party planning and stress is over with and it was totally worth it. Mia's first birthday was a success! All of my projects went without a hitch. Best of all it didn't rain! yay! I was so thankful for everyone who was able to join us. This baby girl is so loved and so very blessed. I couldn't have asked for a better turnout. Here are some of the highlights in pictures:

First Birthday Stuff

4 days to go! Tonight I got started on pom poms. Trying to decide if I will make a garland or just hang individually. Here's what I have so far.

Also working on purple. I think my biggest worry right now is the weather. Praying it doesn't rain or my pom poms will be one big wet mess! ughzzz

A vist to the Enchanted Forest

Last week we took the kids for a nature walk up in Claremont. My SIL joined us as well. The kids loved it. Even the baby!

New Start.... again.

Wow! 2 yrs since my last " I need to post something on here" post! Pretty pathetic. Maybe I should start new in 2012? That should be my New Year's resolution. Since I never make any and never stick to any. So, here we go. Today is my first post for the year!

Right now I'm in the middle of baby's 1st Birthday planning. I've been avoiding it for the past couple of months and it finally caught up to me. Everyone kept asking me so, "what's the theme?", "do you have a date set?", "have you picked an invite yet?". Ahhh! The pressure! I'd get anxiety just browsing thru ideas on Pinterest. So, this weekend. With 2 weeks to go ( I finally picked a date), I'm in full on "partyzilla" mode.(As my friend Wan would say.) I'm actually excited now and looking forward to it. The invite is finally done and will be on it's way out tomorrow. (thanks to my little bro for creating it! and my aunt/big sis S for her input). I know I annoyed him with my last min changes and suggestions. Most everyone already knows about the party so, the invite just makes it more formal. I have a color scheme, a cake picked out, a cute first birthday outfit, some centerpiece ideas, I ordered some fab cookie favors from my friend Wan. My sis-in-law is creating a candy buffet. It's all coming together. Finally! I will post some pics soon of what I have so far. Let's get this party started!

I'm so overdue...

for a new blog post! I wish I was more dedicated. I have lots of cool things to post about. Strawberry festivals, cupcake bakeries, field trips! My new obsessions like Twitter! I must make some time!

Baracky Road Brownies

Yesterday was such an amazing day. The inauguration of Barack Obama was one of those moments I will never forget. I was worried I was going to miss it but, fortunately we were able to watch it in our office at work. I'm not one to be very political but, this election was one that I was really eager to be a part of. This is definitely a time for change in America.
